LOCAL AWARDS

For almost two decades, Murray Media has showcased local businesses that demonstrate a combination of outstanding customer service, commitment to our community, professionalism, as well as having some traditional southern charm.

The Best of Denton County Awards are not a publisher’s choice award given by the publication. This award allows residents from the county to nominate their favorite local businesses by voting online over the course of one month. After the nomination period is over, the three businesses with the most nominations for each category are then placed on the ballot for voting. From there, the community votes for their favorites. It is a unique selection process – and the competition that has been spurred from having so many great businesses to choose from in our vibrant area – has made this award prestigious, coveted, and respected in our county.

NATIONAL AWARDS

SALON ON THE YEAR | Design & Decor 2024 Second Runner-Up

The judging for the 2024 Salons of the Year took place in multiple phases. First, the SALON TODAY team reviewed the entries, including essays and images, qualifying each entry. Next, a panel of editors, art directors and sales directors from SALON TODAY, MODERN SALON and NAILS carefully evaluated each entry to select the finalists, scoring each in six different décor categories: Use of Color, Lighting, Flooring, Efficient Use of Space, Consistency of Design and Overall Aesthetics. Judges’ scores were combined to determine the Grand-Prize Winner, Category Winners, the Runners Up and the Salons of Distinction.
